For bending metal at an angle of 90 degrees in a workshop or garage, you can use a homemade bending mini machine. It is intended primarily for metal strips.
The device is compact in size, mounted in a bench vise. For this homemade product, different metal scraps and bearings will be required.
First of all, by welding, you need to “increase” the edge of the square bar. Then the author cuts it at an angle of 45 degrees and grinds it with a grinder. The result should be a small ledge (or "tooth").
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it is necessary to weld the box from the sections of the steel strip according to the size of a square bar. Drill holes in one of the sides and then weld two nuts.
Then bolts will be screwed into these two holes, which will fix a square bar with a “tooth”. Welds must be sanded.
Next, you need to cut a piece of the corner and drill two holes in it. Then the author makes a marking, and welds a large bearing to this corner, and a small one to the outer race.
Then, on the other side of the corner in the place where the two holes are drilled, two long bolts are welded. Next, two segments of the building corner are attached (perpendicular to each other).
In the end, it remains only to weld a handle from a round pipe and a box with a square bar. The homemade product is ready, you can install it in a vice and work.
