This device allows hermetically packaging products, having received vacuum packaging at the outlet. The basis of the construction is made of plank or plywood. Two wooden blocks will also be required.
The principle of operation of a homemade sealing machine is very simple. A bag of food (it can be sausage, cheese, chips, sandwiches, etc.) is laid on a welding strip with nichrome wire stretched in two rows.
From above the package is pressed by the second bar. First, if necessary, all air is pumped out of it (this can be done with a vacuum cleaner), then voltage is applied to the wire, and the packet is sealed.
The process of making a homemade sealing machine
First of all, the author makes a marking, and drills holes in a wooden bar and the base (board). After this, the bar, which will serve as the welding strip, must be screwed to the board at a right angle.
At the end of the bar, the author twists two self-tapping screws (not completely), after which he pulls the nichrome wire. The edges of the wire are wound on a self-tapping screw, and then it can be screwed into the bar to the end.
At the next stage, masking tape is glued onto the welding strip, and a clamping block is also attached on top. For this, the author uses self-tapping screws with springs and washers.
