When it becomes necessary to drill holes in workpieces or small parts on a drilling machine, you usually have to hold them by hand or with pliers.
However, as practice shows, this approach is more inconvenient than beneficial. Therefore, for drilling holes in small workpieces, you can make a mini vise for a drilling machine from a professional pipe and plywood.
The main materials for this homemade product are a profile pipe with a cross section of 25 * 50 mm, a stud, nuts, laminated plywood and sheet metal. All these materials can be found without problems in the garage or home workshop.
The main stages of work
First of all, it is necessary to cut out the base from the laminated plywood - the details from the profile and metal will be mounted on it. Then, with the help of a hand mill and a grooving cutter, the master cuts long grooves in the workpiece.
At the next stage, you will need to cut out the plate and drill holes in it - it will be attached to the base of laminated plywood. The master welds a motionless clamping jaw of a vice to a plate.
Next, a section of the profile is welded to the metal plate, to which two guide nuts for the stud will need to be welded. Then the second sponge is attached - movable.
