You can make a simple hand-made scraper for snow with your own hands from a piece of metal panel, which is used for cladding the facade of buildings. The thickness of the panel itself is 0.8 mm. You can also use a suitably sized piece of sheet metal.
In this case, the master cuts off a piece of metal panel with dimensions of 930 * 460 cm. Still for this homemade product, a piece of profile pipe 20 * 20 mm and a metal strip 25 * 4 mm will be required.
And first of all, it is necessary to bend the profile - the master does this on a simple pipe bending machine. The bend angle in this case is approximately 90 degrees. Without a pipe bender, bending the pipe will be problematic.
The main stages of work
The next step is to drill holes in a piece of steel strip. Just need two strips, in each of which you will need to drill three holes. These blanks need to be processed on a grinding machine.
The edge of each strip will need to be slightly bent. And then these plates are welded to the ends of the profile pipe. Through the drilled holes they are screwed to a sheet of metal.
