In this review, the master shares the idea of how to make a do-it-yourself clamp clamp, which is useful when working with metal and wood blanks.
The basis of this homemade is clamping pliers. The master also uses other improvised materials that can be found in every workshop or garage.
To make a home-made clamp with a clamp, the author uses clamping pliers, a piece of metal strip, a stud, a bolt with nuts. Still need clamping emphasis, as on a conventional clamp.
The main stages of work
First of all, the author cuts a piece of a strip of metal, and then welds it to the handle of the clamping pliers.
Five nuts will need to be screwed onto the stud and welded to each other. Then the welds must be cleaned.
The author welds the resulting part to a segment of the strip, which is welded to the clamp clamp handle.
In the next step, it will be necessary to weld another piece of metal strip to the clamp. A bolt is then welded to it.
To the end of the stud (opposite the bolt head), the author welds the pressure stop.
A hole must be drilled at the other end of the stud to insert a stud or bolt of smaller diameter. The result is a collar.
Using the same scheme, we manufacture a second clamp clamp, since it is convenient to use a pair of such devices for working with blanks.
