Using this homemade product, it is very convenient to drill holes in profile pipes and other steel workpieces using a metal crown, as well as cut saddles in round pipes.

The cost of this device is extremely small, since it mainly uses used materials that are easy to find in every workshop or garage, and can also be bought for a penny at scrap metal collection points.
The main working elements of this design are a shock absorber, a pair of 204th bearings with an inner diameter of 20 mm and a metal crown. The drive is a network electric drill.

The main stages of work

First of all, it is necessary to make a round cage for two bearings from a steel strip with a thickness of 3 mm and a width of about 35 mm. They need to be planted inside the resulting case, and then a plate should be welded to the edges of the holder. It is necessary to weld a steel strip to it perpendicularly.

In addition, you will need to use a steel corner, on one side of which it is necessary to make oblique notches with a grinder. After processing, it, along with another corner of a smaller size, is also welded to the previous parts.

When the device body is completely ready, it remains only to insert the shock absorber into the bearings and put a crown on it (on the side with M12 thread). However, before doing this, you must first screw on the standard nut that is used to secure the shock absorber.

We insert the other end of the shock absorber into the drill and you can begin to work. This device is very convenient to use and useful in any workshop.
