Without a manual router in your workshop, you can make a simple plywood fixture for a power drill. Of course, this homemade product will not be able to fully compete with the factory milling machine, however, it will be quite suitable for simple tasks (milling wooden platbands or chair seats).

The main advantage of this device is the simplicity of design, due to which it can be made in literally half an hour. Well, and most importantly - there is such a homemade penny. Therefore, if there is no manual milling cutter, but there is a drill, then we take suitable pieces of plywood and make a simple home-made “adapter”.

Work stages

First of all, you will need a piece of plywood with a thickness of 8 mm, from which using a jigsaw you need to cut a circle with a diameter of 130 mm. Then in the resulting blank we cut a round "window" with a diameter of 55 mm. Further, from the plywood with a thickness of 20 mm, it is necessary to cut out the remaining details of the homemade product.

Now that all the workpieces are cut and polished, we assemble the entire structure for self-tapping screws. On four sides of the upper plywood bar (from the end), you need to drill holes 2 mm in diameter and screw in roofing screws. But first they need to blunt the ends. This can be done on an emery machine or a regular metal file.

Adjustment of the workpiece surface is carried out due to the length of the shank of the cutter clamped in the drill chuck. Here is such a simple and interesting homemade result. The detailed process of manufacturing and assembling the structure, see the video on the site.
