In the process of making homemade products from wood, as well as for the hidden connection of wall shelves, photo frames and elements of cabinet furniture, round sticks of various diameters and lengths are often required. To make them fast, it is enough to have at hand a simple universal conductor.

For the manufacture of this device will require affordable materials and a minimum of time. A wooden block and a metal plate will serve as the basis. An electric drill and a screwdriver will be needed from a tool. The assembly process is very simple, so everyone will cope with this task.

The main stages of work

From a metal strip 40 mm wide and 4 mm thick, cut a piece 100 mm long, at the edges of which we first drill two holes with a 3.5 mm drill, and then drill them to a diameter of 7 mm. Next, we fasten the steel plate on top of a wooden bar with dimensions of 100x40x25 mm.

Most of the work has been done, and now in the plate and bar it remains only to drill three holes with a diameter of 10, 8 and 6 mm. At the edges of the holes at a distance of 2.5 mm, we make three small recesses with a 7 mm drill. That's how simple it is to make a universal conductor with your own hands.

And to make round sticks even easier with it. We prepare wooden blocks (with sizes 10.5 x 10.5 mm, 8.5 x 8.5 mm and 6.5 x 6.5 mm), insert them one at a time into the electric drill and pass through the desired hole. At the exit we get straight round sticks. As you can see, everything is simple and most importantly - quickly.
