Consider a typical situation: you made repairs in the bathroom, laid the tiles, and then it suddenly turns out that you need to install a power outlet. For example, to connect a water heater (boiler) or a washing machine.
It is clear that in this situation it does not make sense to shatter the walls (otherwise all repairs will go down the drain). And pulling the box is somehow ugly. Only one way out - install an external outlet. And here a second question arises: how to beautifully and accurately stretch an electric cable?
Polypropylene pipes will come to the rescue, which in the bathroom will look much more natural than a simple HDPE corrugation. Actually, to install a socket in the bathroom, if the tile is already laid out, you will need the socket itself (external), a two- or three-core cable, pipe sections.
The main stages of work
Along the walls in the bathroom (where the water pipes go), we lay a new "branch" in which the electric cable will be located. Firstly, it looks more aesthetically pleasing than a corrugation or just a wire. Secondly, in this case, the cable will be protected from mechanical damage and moisture.
After that, we stretch the electric wire itself in the polypropylene pipe, after which it will be necessary to assemble the vertical channel from the fittings and pipe, insert the cable into it, and then connect it to the pipe that goes below the wall.
At the last stage of work, we fix the vertical channel (using clips) and place an external outlet. Details on how to install a power outlet in the bathroom, if the tile is already laid out, you can see in the video on the site.
