To cut sandpaper into pieces of the right size, the author proposes to make a simple fixture. And for this you can use scraps of plywood or boards, which are easy to find in almost every workshop.
The design of the device allows you to cut sandpaper clearly at right angles. However, if it is slightly modified, then you can cut off the sandpaper and from other angles. This is necessary, for example, to glue the sanding belt.
And first of all, you need to cut a small piece of rectangular shape from a plywood sheet (the dimensions of the base are at your discretion). On the edges of the plywood, the author glues two planks of wood.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the author makes a carriage out of wood trim that will move along the guide. To it you need to attach a homemade sandpaper cutter.
Next, on a circular you need to do the full length cuts at the base. Then, to the planks located on the edges of the plywood, the author glues a wooden guide. It is made of a bar of T-section.
