In this review, the author shares his idea of how to make a Velcro grinding wheel for angle grinders with your own hands. To do this, you need a piece of plywood, a twisted cup-shaped brush and Velcro itself, on which grinding wheels will be glued.
Also required fasteners - bolts with nuts, and an electric drill, welding machine, grinder will be needed from the tool.
And the first thing you need to do is cut a circle of suitable diameter from a plywood sheet 20 mm thick. In this case, the master with the help of a jigsaw cuts a workpiece with a diameter of 150 mm.
The main stages of work
At the next stage of work, it will be necessary to cut off a piece of a steel plate of a rectangular shape, round off its sharp corners. Then the brush bowl itself is welded to the plate on the metal (but first, you need to cut the metal "hairs").
Drill holes in the corners of the plate. And then the author puts the plate with the bowl in the center of the circle of plywood, and connects the parts using bolts.
After this, it remains only to cut off the protruding parts of the bolts and stick Velcro to the surface of the circle. Next, the nozzle must be installed on the grinder, and you can process the workpiece.
