When you need to tighten a large number of plumbing clamps, you must be prepared for the fact that this process can take a lot of time.
However, as they say, progress does not stand still. In this review, the author shares the idea - how to make a simple device that will allow you to install the clamps much faster.
For the manufacture of homemade products you will need a regular nail, an M8 bolt and an elongated nut with an inner diameter of 8 mm.
The main stages of work
The first step is to cut off the hat at the bolt and make a tetrahedron at the end. The author turns the resulting workpiece into an elongated nut.
After that, in the elongated nut you need to drill a through hole with a drill with a diameter of 3 mm.
At the next stage, the author cuts off the nail head with a grinder and slightly flattenes the edge with a hammer.
Then we hammer this nail into the hole drilled in the elongated nut. The excess part of the nail must be cut off, and a pin will be obtained.
To tighten the dowel for installing the plumbing clamp, you just need to screw the resulting nozzle onto the threaded part, and then use a ring spanner or ratchet.
