In a private house and in the country, a tree will never go out of fashion. In addition to decorating and choosing furniture, the owners give their choice to wooden decor.
Even the ceiling lamp can be made of timber. The author tells how to create such a brutal element of the situation with your own hands.
We will use a bar 100x200 mm, mounting loops, carabiners, chain, wire and 4 LED panels.
First of all, mark the location of the fixtures and make holes for mounting at an angle.
After, select the wood a few centimeters deep into the mark. Next, you need to make through holes for installing the cable.
The main stages of work
The next step will be firing. Using a gas burner, treat all wood to black.
Now we take a brush and we clean off a fragile top layer. Movements should be done only along the fibers, this will show the natural texture of the tree.
Remove all dust and wax the surface. After several layers, coat the wood with yacht varnish.
Before further work, you need to wait for it to dry completely.
Install the LED panels in place. Now the beam needs to be turned over and put mounting loops on which our lamp will be suspended.
Then you can do wiring - connect the LED panels with a common wire. It will be convenient if you purchase panels with remote control.
Insert the chain into the loops. Be sure to find out in advance what weight it is designed for.
On the edges to the beam you can attach twine, hang decorative figures or decor elements that repeat the motifs in your interior.
