In this review, the author shows how to make a fairly simple and easy to use homemade knurling tool with your own hands. The tool is made on the basis of clamping pliers.
You will also need three rollers and mounts for them, which can be made from pieces of metal. Then they need to be welded to the clamping pliers.
First, we cut off the clamping jaws by the grinder, then we weld the fasteners and install the rollers, fixing them with studs and nuts.
In the upper part, two notched rollers are installed. At the bottom there is one roller without a notch. That, in fact, is all the work.
How to use the tool
For convenience, the author uses a tool for knurling paired with a screwdriver, which allows to simplify and speed up the processing of workpieces.
For example, you need to do knurling on a metal bar. This is done elementarily.
We clamp it in the chuck of a screwdriver, install the pliers in the right place, and then turn on the "screw".
In the same way, you can process smaller parts or workpieces made of metal.
