In their homes there is always a symbolic embodiment of Ganesha - the deity of wisdom and prosperity, portrayed with an elephant head.

Here is such a happy elephant. Make an elephant for home comfort with your own hands. Crocheting such a sofa cushion is not difficult. A detailed description of the work in the following workshop. In addition to materials for needlework, you need only patience.
Crochet Materials:

- blue yarn - 500 g,
- tractor lightning - 45 cm,
- very few threads of white, black, blue - for the eye.

The yarn from which the sofa cushion — the Happy Elephant — knitted, was thick — a twist of three threads. For work, hook number 5 was perfect.

The biggest pillow detail is the cover (elephant's body). He fits under the pillow (50x50 cm), which will then be inside it.
Dial 130 air loops. Knit the first row with crochets. Next, knit the fabric in the simplest way: even rows - st.b / n, odd rows - st.s / n.

The height of the cover corresponds to the height of the pillow. The length of the canvas should cover both sides.

Trunk knitting

If the pillow is two-sided, then the location (right or left) of the trunk does not matter.

The length of the trunk is equal to the height of the pillow or slightly less than this.

At the end of the trunk, tie a bend. When knitting, go to st.b / n. In the middle, as before, on a third of the loops knit st.s / 2n. Knit the edges of the trunk from the wrong side with b / n columns to form a tube.
Knit the side walls of the cover with a crustacean step, connecting posts.b / n.

An ear. This pillow is one-sided, i.e. the eye and ear are only on one side, from the front, so the ear is one. If there is no shortage in the yarn, then both sides of the pillow can be decorated equally.
For the ear, tie st. B / n circle. During knitting, it is important to remember the addition of loops. It is not necessary to strive to maintain the evenness of the canvas. To give volume to the part, you can add a little extra loops in the process of knitting the circle, then the fabric will begin to worry.

The elephant's ear is slightly pointed below. To achieve this effect, it is necessary in this part of the ear to knit part of the loops (6-7) st.s / n.

The height of the ear is slightly less than two-thirds of the height of the pillow.

Sew an ear to the case. Use stitches in a circle around the center of the ear, hook the edges of the part in separate stitches in four places so that it does not bend too much.

Eye. From white cotton threads (Lily) st. B / n, tie a circle with a diameter of 5 cm.

Pupil. From black cotton threads to tie the inner part of the eye. 2 rows to knit st.b / n. The third row to knit st.s / n, at the end it does not close, i.e. Do not connect the last loop with the first in a row. Fasten the thread, cut it off.

Iris. From cotton yarn of blue shade, knit a small circle into 2 rows of st. B / n.
Impose eye parts on top of each other, walk along the edges with sewing stitches to join the pieces together.

Sew an eye to the case.

Hooves
