To make a chrysanthemum you will need a satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide. For this chrysanthemum, I used 2 colors of the ribbon light pink and pink.
In addition to the tapes you will need:
- scissors;
- a candle;
- glue gun;
- midpoints;
- cardboard or felt for the base;
- tape for wrapping a cardboard circle.
So, a chrysanthemum is a flower consisting of many sharp petals. I used 71 petals in a flower with a base diameter of 5 cm, and 30 pieces in a flower with a base diameter of 3 cm.
To make one petal, you need a piece of tape 6.5 cm long, so before you start making the petals, you can safely cut the tape into pieces of 6.5 cm.
Take one piece of tape and fold it in a corner so that a right angle forms.
Next, we turn the formed triangle 2 more times.
Now tucks the corners inward, hold it with tweezers and cut off the excess. We fix the edge of the tape using the flame of a candle or lighter. The petal is ready.
We make all the other petals.
Now you need to make a base. You can just take a felt and cut out a circle. if there is no felt, then you should cut out a circle from cardboard and wrap it with a satin flight. Fix the ends of the tape with a glue gun.
Flower assembly.
First, glue a row of petals along the edge of the round base. In the second row, glue the petals in a checkerboard pattern. We completely fill the base with petals in rows. I got 6 rows. Since I used the petals of two colors, I laid out one row with pink petals, and the second with light pink.
In the 1st row there are 19 petals, in the 2nd row there are 16 petals, in the 3rd row there are 13 petals, in the 4th row there are 9 petals, in the 5th row there are 8 petals, and in the 6th row there are 6 petals. Total 71 petals.
Glue a bead in the middle.
The flower is ready. It can be attached to a hoop, brooch mount or clip.
