Ripped jeans in a trend is not the first year in a row. Probably, many on the far shelves in the closet will find old jeans. If you work hard on them, you can do a fashionable thing with your own hands. For work you will need:
- jeans;
- nail scissors;
- tweezers;
- crayon;
- cutting board;
- sponge;
- knife;
- grater.

With these items you can give old jeans a chance for a new life. So let's get started:
1. Use chalk to mark the places of future holes.

2. Then insert the kitchen board (or any other hard object) into the jeans and cut the strips at any distance from each other with a knife (or scissors). The board must be laid so as not to cut through the bottom of the jeans. The cuts can be moistened with a damp sponge (it will be easier to cut this way).

3. Now, using tweezers, you should separate the transverse threads in each of the resulting strips. This work is painstaking, takes a lot of time.

4. Thus, future holes are formed. As a result of the detachment of the threads, a lot of fringe is formed, it must be cut off periodically. At the end, a little fringe should be left.
5. After all the threads are separated, part of them will not hang very aesthetically. Scissors need to carefully cut all excess thread.

6. Then you can create scuffs with a grater. Crumple with your hands the place of future scuffs and rub it with a grater. For this process, it is better to take a grater with straight and large holes. The result is chaotic scuffs.

7. Holes can be made in any other places, both front and back. For a square cut, you should make two cuts with scissors and carefully separate the threads in this place.

The number of scuffs depends on desire and patience. You can make quite a few neat holes, or vice versa - make jeans look too sloppy.
