To create such hairpins:
• Atlas swamp ribbon, 50 cm long and five cm wide;
• Ribbons from satin of bright colors, green and yellow, four cm wide, 20 cm in length;
• Brocade ribbon 3.5 cm wide, blue ribbon will need about 15 cm, and silver ribbon about 30 cm;
• Gold cabochons in diameter of 10 mm for the middle;
• Two yellow small metal hair clips;
• Tweezers, lighter;
• Scissors with a sharp blade;
• Clothespins for convenience in work;
• Ruler and glue gun.
We will have butterflies from three types of petals:
• single sharp;
• double rounded
• triple rounded.
First, we need to prepare squares from the tapes. We divide the ribbons and cut out the blanks from them:
• marsh from the atlas - 5x5 cm eight;
• blue from brocade - 3.5x3.5 cm four;
• silvery of brocade - 3.5x3.5 cm eight;
• yellow and salad - 4x4 cm in four.
We take a lighter and now we pass each square on the sides with a spark.
Make sharp petals. We fold the swamp blank from the atlas 5x5 cm three times so that we get a small triangle.
We trim exactly from the side and burn with fire, while pressing tightly with tweezers.
We also make a parallel cut from the bottom of the petal so as to first cauterize one lower cut, and then another. We get a petal with a hole below. Make a swamp color of only four pointed petals. We also make the same four pointed petals from blue brocade. These petals are smaller. They will be in the center of the butterfly, connecting its wings.
We proceed to the second group of petals. Fold the yellow square 4x4 cm in half.
Clamp it with a clothespin and set it aside. The next silver square is made of brocade. We put them on top of each other, falling down by 2-3 mm. Together they were connected with a clothespin.
We fold both triangles in half, then wrap them back. With sharp scissors, we cut off the bottom and side of the workpiece. All cut sides, clamping with a clothespin, we pass by fire. The petal is rounded and double bottom. From the bottom, we also press each slice and burn separately.
We still have triple petals. We start with the largest square. They folded it in half, clamped it and set it aside.
Add the second yellow square, put it on the first, dropping down a couple of mm. And just like that, we add the third square of brocade in half and apply a couple of mm lower down.
According to the principle of the previous one, we also fold in half, cut from the bottom and side.
The cut sides are individually cauterized. Notice also these bottom petals have a double base, so we burn each section separately. Make four petals.
All the petals are ready, we made four of them all, now we will collect them into butterflies.
Glue double petals into sharp ones.
The petals will have wings, we glue them, as in the photo. Sharp wings above and rounded below.
Two small circles are cut out of the swamp ribbon, we burn their edges and glue the butterflies from below. In the center of butterflies we glue cabochons.
It remains to stick butterflies on hairpins.
Done! Thanks for your attention!
